Bobbies Bargains started out as a hobby and was run by myself.  I was always looking for samples, freebies and adding in some DIY and cooking. Quite by accident it branched out into a product review and recipe blog, and I now have additional help from my friend Amanda, whom I happened to meet because of the blog!

I'm Bobbie and I am happily married to my mailman and I have two teen girls that keep me busy!  I started using coupons back in May 2011 after running through my unemployment after no luck in the job hunting department and after crunching the numbers, my hubby and I figured out that I could keep being a stay at home mom, and so far the results have been more than hubby ever expected! He gave me two months to learn the ropes, and then slammed down a challenge....$60.00 a week for all the household shopping. While at first I reserved the right to declare a Sam's Club run every other month, so far I have used it a few times a year, usually right before a camping trip or major Holiday feast. I am always looking for deals to share and welcome any ideas!

I'm Amanda, I started off stalking Bobbie Bargains blog and facebook page. Within a few months Bobbie and I became friends. What started off as me picking on her typing turned into her silent editor, and just recently I offered to help with the cooking challenges as I know how busy her life can get. My life in short form would be I'm happily married to my best friend, and have a son who is 10 years old. I'm more of your old school strict kind of woman. Respect and being the best person you can be is a must. School and good grades are a close 2nd. Sports and time with friends are only allowed if the above is met. Video games are only a weekend thing limited to a couple hours and that's still if all requirements are met and if the weather is not suitable for being outside. When I became a stay at home mom it was a shock to my system, as I have always worked 50 hours a week or more. So being at home all the time was a major change. Now I fill my days with baby sitting my 2 year old nephew, cleaning, school work with my son and my other nephew, school functions and sport teams my son joins. I'm also OCD and ADHD, so I clean a lot and enjoy it, and I'm always on the move. To say I do it all is a understatement, I cook, clean, shop, do car, house repairs and all yard mowing, weed eating, and gardening; but you will never hear me complain about any of it. I hardly ever sleep and a very picky eater; healthy foods are almost always a eww or yuck for me. We as a family love to stay active when the weather permits with hiking, biking, 4-wheeling, playing basketball and soccer, and our newest love punching/boxing bag. I hate to spend money on stuff that I don't have too. We do take 1 week vacation a year that I allow for us to splurge on, but other than that my great outdoors in the country life can entertain us. I used to coupon full time and was always out shopping for those deals for a stock pile; until it took over my house.  Now not so much, with limited storage space and only 1 family car, I've learned to shop smarter and less often. Normally spending $150-$200 a month for all groceries and household supplies.
