Once in a while a vacation comes together by accident.  My husband was given short notice about a business trip to Orange County, and I looked at my daughter and said we were going to adjust our vacation so we could crash at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Orange County that my husband was staying in.

Because my daughter and I were with my hubby we asked the front desk to make sure we had two beds in the room and we assumed it would be two queens.  We ended up with a king suite that was more that perfect for us.  We had a small refrigerator, and a coffee maker in the room.  The refrigerator was large enough to hold a medium pizza box, and we never used the coffee maker because the coffee in the lobby for breakfast was always available to us, and included some teas and hot chocolate

I loved the desk area for my laptop since it had an electrical strip to charge all the gadgets we brought along, and my hubby and daughter loved that there were two TV's.  They both found a volume where they could hear their separate shows, but not be bothered by the other.  I laughed as once in a while I would notice they were both watching the same show, and did not even know it, as I got blasted with mega surround sound hearing both TV's while sitting at the desk.

My daughter enjoyed her bed as the couch was a sofa bed.  We found extra bedding in the closet and had her set up in no time.  Every morning before we left the room she would fold her bed back, bedding and all, and we were back to having the extra room to relax in.  My daughter said the bed was comfortable, though it was a bit squeaky.  Good thing she does not move around a lot in her sleep.

The bathroom was large and beautiful.  We had a ton of space for a weeks worth of toiletries, and the fan in the bathroom was super quiet.  The shower was a fantastic size as well and easy to rove around in.  I barely noticed any running water noises, let alone any other types of noise like TV's or even loud talking from the rooms surrounding us.

Our room did face the freeway, but we did not really hear any freeway noise.  Part of that may be because we live on a very busy street and are used to traffic noise.  Breakfast is a good variety that included juices, milk, yogurt, fruits, scrambled eggs, sausages, waffles, and a variety of muffins and breads.

I think my favorite part of the hotel was the spa.  I was down there almost every night relaxing in or around the spa area.  The pool was nice as well, but I spent more time in the spa.  There is a gym in the hotel that I avoided since my daughter and I were walking our feet off at nearby Amusement parks.  A quick peek while passing by to the pool I did see several different exercise machines, and what looked like a set of free weights.

Overall a great hotel with very friendly staff, comfortable beds, clean rooms and common areas, and just a short drive from both Disney parks.
