With summer comes travel, and that is what happened this last week. I hopped on a plane with my younger daughter and mom, and flew out to Great Lakes IL. to see my older daughter graduate from Navy boot camp. I made the best I could of the food situation and tried not to eat too much, and always ordered one dessert to split with everyone at the table.
I'll be honest, the only thing that saved me this last week was the amount of walking that I did. Our hotel had a very nice continental breakfast, and while it did have nice healthy options, I was drawn to the biscuits and gravy. Lunches were usually a meal that I split with my daughter, and then dinner I attempted a smaller meal and the split dessert.
I did not get to spend too much time with my daughter before she had to leave for the advanced school, so I had a couple of extra days to wander around Chicago. Those two days of wandering ended up being 12.6 miles, and I made my personal goal of 7,000 steps another three days. The last two days of the week.....I was too busy sleeping and recovering from utter exhaustion and jet lag.
Goals for Week
Find the energy to make my daily step count. I am almost there for the day, so I should be a little over, even if just barely.
End Result for Week
It has been a couple weeks since I stepped on the scale and still down 0.6 lbs!
