Summer vacation and I have a kid home. This is actually not normal for me, so only one week in, I'm having some problems adjusting. I really don't have any type of an eating schedule for myself all day, other than eat when I'm hungry (which landed me in the situation of trying to lose some excess fluff). Having her home I'm really having to watch WHAT and WHEN I eat, and now I am having to eyeball her habits as well and adjust accordingly.
I am trying to go through and just eat what I have in the house. I have such a stockpile of random shelf stable foods, that I have decided to quit buying such things, and only purchase meats, veggies, and fruits as needed till I go through my stockpile. Holy cow do I have a lot of baking mixes! I need to start taking half of whatever I bake next door to share with my in laws. I will not worry about baked treats going stale, and I'll get through my stockpile faster.
Hot summer days is making it hard to get outside and get my walking done. I hate the heat and there is only so much walking I can do inside my house. This step thing is going to be a real challenge for me. Some days are better than others, but I need to figure out some consistency
Spent the good portion of a late morning/early afternoon shopping with my daughter and we hit Panda Express for lurch. I actually enjoyed a Panda Bowl with veggies as a side, and green bean chicken as my entree. I was pretty full and did not finish off all my food. My daughter ate about half her bowl, and took the rest of my veggies to eat for dinner. Before I would have snapped up the 2 entrees with half fried rice, half chow mien, and snarfed the whole thing down.
Goals for Week
I really can't think of any goal for this week. I have so much going on, between gearing up to fly to Chicago to see my oldest graduate from Navy boot camp, and a road trip family vacation shortly after I get back from Chicago, I feel like I'm on auto pilot just to get through these next few weeks.
End Result for Week
Down 4.0 Lbs. The plus side of it being stupid hot outside, I do not want to cook, so I am not going crazy eating big meals for dinner.
Total Weight Lost
Down 16.2 Lbs. Slow and steady. There has been some ups and downs, but as long as I have more downs that ups, it is all good.
