It's that time of year again, I became a year older. Hubby tried to make fun of the fact that I'm now an old lady of 40. Surprisingly, this did not phase me at all. I've not had any type of "I'm OLD!" meltdown. Part of this may be because I'm in an emotional uproar already between sending my older daughter off to Naval bootcamp, and already making travel plans to see her when she graduates the first week of July. I've always heard that when a woman hits 40 her metabolism slows down. I have no idea if it's true or not, but I will keep plugging along in my quest to lose some of this weight I allowed to creep up on me.
My mom: HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Where do you want to go for lunch? Pick any place, my treat.
My hubby: HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Where do you want to do for dinner?
Resturaunt: HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Here is a free Birthday Sunday!
There was a lot of eating out this last week. and a lot of birthday treats, and I enjoyed every bite. I logged all my food with MyFitnessPal for every day but two days. Somehow making it a full 7 days in a row is still eluding me.
Even with all the eating out, I did try and make semi-good choices. I only ate half of my meals, and brought the rest home. This worked out well since I was still full with my half meals, and the other half was lunch the next day, or dinner for hubby on another night. Water intake is still going strong.
Goals for Week
Increase my daily step count to 6,000. I'm not hitting the 5,500 that I set for myself on a daily basis, but I am when averaged over the entire week. I think I have established a nice littke walking pattern around my yard that is just a little over 100 steps, so I want to try and break that up into two sets of 10 loops just to give me some extra movement. I gave up trying to walk around my block because of all the loose dogs.
End Result for Week
Down 3.6. WHOO HOO! While I would like to see this every week, I know it is not going to happen for me. My pattern seems to be lose a little, gain a little, lose a lot, gain a little. I am OK with this since I just want a general downward trend. I just have to check myself this week that I do not gain too much.
Total Weight Lost
Down 15.6. 15 lbs. down, 37 lbs to go!
