Losing 52 Lbs in 52 Weeks ~ Week 14 ~ Emotional Eating

When I started this weight loss journey and was thinking of how I wanted to present this, I had to think long and hard between 52 lbs in 52 weeks Vs 1 pound 1 week.  In the end I went for 52 lbs in 52 weeks because I am human, and did not want to set myself up for failure.  I knew I would have great weeks of losing weight, good weeks, and not so good weeks.  I know that I am an emotional eater, and the next few weeks are going to be difficult for me.  My older daughter will be leaving for Navy boot camp in a few shorts weeks, and after she graduates, she will be moving to the East coast for her schooling for several months, they go wherever in  the world she is stationed.  I am already running the gambit between stress/emotional eating everything in sight, and not eating anything at all, and I need to find the balance between the two, because my younger daughter is only three years younger, so I'll be going through this all over again in the blink of an eye.

The Ugly
This was a hoover up and eat everything I could see kind of week.  My daughter is slowly starting to pack up for her new life, and I tore through the kitchen to pack up a box of kitchen supplies that I have too much of.  In between laughing, joking, and trying not to cry I stuffed my emotions down with some chocolate.  Maybe too much chocolate.  Ok, it was a lot of chocolate, and pop tarts.  I am going to be a wreck when she leaves mid May.

The Bad
I barely paid any attention to my daily step count with my Up by Jawbone.  I did get up when it zinged me for the most part, but really I spent way to much time running to the kitchen for chocolate.  Needless to say, I also did not bother much with logging my food and drink intake with MyfitnessPal.  With Thursday being the start of my week, today is the start of a new week, so I've logged my coffee and my breakfast/lunch pizza and three glasses of water.

The Good
I really worked hard on making sure my water intake was up there, and for the most part I made it happen!  My water bottle is always around me, so I am making sure that I keep up on my water.

Goals for Week

Keep up on my water and get back to logging my food and water intake.  Logging with MyFitnessPal seems to be repeat offender goal for me.

End Result for Week

Up 1.8 lbs.  Stupid Chocolate, and pop tarts, and kids growing up.

Total Weight Lost

Down 11.0 lbs
