I picked up a pair of size 16 shorts this week at Sam's Club and was thrilled that they fit, and looked great.  Then I decided to grab the old pair of size shorts 18 out of my closet to see how they fit, and became a little depressed that I was still rocking a sizable muffin top.  I had to let this stew for a while before I decided I am more than a number on a piece of fabric.  I know in my head that different brands and styles have very different ways of fitting different bodies, but over the years I have become fixated on that number on a piece of fabric.  I do not want to base my overall success or failure only on a number on a piece of fabric or a number on a scale, but on how I feel physically and mentally.

The Ugly:
I totally flopped on keeping track of my food with MyFitnessPal.  I think I logged my morning coffee last Thursday morning, and that was it.

The Bad:
My water bottle that I had depended on to help me get in my 8-9 glasses of water was temporarily misplaced, so I did drink water, but I know it was not as much as I wanted.

The Good:
Even without logging my food this last week, I had a lot of small victories.  I reached for a handful baby carrots instead of digging out a portion of chips for a snack.  When we went to a burger place for a late lunch, I did not go for the biggest burger on the menu.  I am actively getting up and walking to another room to clean something when my Up by Jawbone zings me.  This last one is pretty huge because I was down for a couple weeks with cold/flu/allergies/exhaustion.

Goals for Week
I found my water bottle, so back to drinking at least 8 glasses of water a day.

End Result for Week
Down 3.0 lbs!  Whoo hoo!

Total Weight Lost
Down 12.8 lbs.
