Not that we have had much of a winter here in central California the last few years, but we have enough of a seasonal change to mess with sinuses and flare up allergies.  My daughters and I are all sniffy during the day, and the heater is on at night, so we all have sore throats for a few weeks.  One of our favorite comforts during this time is hot tea with honey.  The honey goes great with all flavor of tea with have had over the years, and has been a change up from sugar sweetened tea.  The steam helps with the sinus issues and the honey helps sooth our sore throats.

Hot or boiling water
Favorite tea

Place tea bag and 1 teaspoon or 1 tablespoon honey into coffee cup.  Add 6-8 oz hot water and let steep 3-5 minutes.  Stir before drinking.  If using loose leave tea, steep tea first, then add honey.
