My older daughter is now busily getting herself physically prepared for Navy Boot camp in May.  Some how this has turned into me walking along with her for 1.5 miles every other day.  Truth be told, I walk, she jogs.  I tried jogging.  It was a short lived event.  I have to say jogging around the house with the Wii is a whole different beast than jogging around the block.  In the house I'm barefoot, and 'jogging' away on nice padding and carpet, and able to do so for up to 10 minutes.  I get outside with sneakers on and I'm gasping for breath after a minute.

The Ugly

With all the extra walking I'm doing, I totally blew off MyfitnessPal.  I just kinda grazed along during the day and stopped when I felt full, for the most part.  I have issues with stopping when I'm full or I would not be on a quest to lose 52 lbs!

The Bad

I have not been syncing my Up by Jawbone every day like before, really it was more like several times a day, so I'm not away of how much I'm moving around during the day.  I also had a couple of down days after I threw my back out trying to pick up my 20 lb. cat.

The Good

Over all I am moving more.  I am making it a point to walk 1.5 miles every other day.  I recently discovered that my local mall has a walking program sponsored by a local hospital, and I get goodies just for waling around!  The top goodie is a $50 gift card to the mall, so yeah, I'm looking to hit that 500 miles walked before the end of the year for that goodie.

Goals for Week 9

Log every bite, lick and taste on MyFitnessPal.  I did really well the first few weeks when I did this, so I'm going back to what works

End Result for Week 8

No change.  This was a bit of a surprise, I really though I was as going to gain.  I'll take it given how lax I have been with my eating habits this week.

Total Weight Lost

8.2 lbs.  Average so far, 8 weeks, 8 lbs.  Now to kick it up a notch!
