Green bean casserole is a classic, it's been around since what the 1940's or 50's.  It's timeless and very easy to prepare. We have changed a few things over time adding new ingredients but I still love the classic style. It's also a great side dish to make for any holiday gathering, pot luck or family get together. With just a few ingredients you have a creamy, tasty dish ready to enjoy. I make mine for a smaller serving than normal so if you're doing it for a big gathering double the green beans, milk, and cream of soup.


2 cans of any style green beans
1 can of cream of mushroom soup
1/2 cup of milk
1 container or package of fried onions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees, in a casserole dish pour in drained green beans, cream of soup and milk. Throw in some fried onion pieces enough to cover and mix well. Bake for 25 minutes or until it's bubbling. Take out and stir and sprinkle another layer of fried onion pieces on top. Bake for additional 5 minutes or until onions are golden brown.
