My younger daughter was excited when I showed her the Wubble Bubble Ball that I received in exchange for my honest review.  We are still little kids at heart and love to blow bubbles and once in a while kick a ball around in the back yard.  I honestly had no idea what a Wubble Bubble Ball was until I received this, but have since heard many friends say they were thinking about getting one for their kids.  My daughter and I eagerly checked out everything in the box, grabbed a towel to throw on the trunk of the car to protect my car and the Wubble, found some D batteries (you need four), a screwdriver for the battery hatch, and headed out side to play.

I had a bit of a battle with my daughter over who got to insert the inflation nozzle.  She's 16, but I also call her a destruct-o child.  In the end she won, but only so I could take pictures of the inflation process.  Thankfully there is a nice little video you can watch on how to inflate the Wubble Bubble ball, so you don't have to only rely on my photos for reference. (CLICK HERE for video)

With everything laid out on the trunk of my car (to prevent the dog from helping) we set out to inflate our Wubble Bubble Ball.  We got the batteries in and flipped the switch on the air compressor real quick to make sure that it was working.  So far so good!  My daughter wrangled the nozzle adapter into the ball with me hovering over her constantly screeching to be careful not to poke a hole in the ball.  She got the nozzle inserted all the way and removed the adapter.  We took the nozzle, attached it to the pump, turned it on, and waited for our Wubble Bubble Ball to inflate.  And waited.  And waited.  It inflated, but did not expand.  I held my hand over the air intake valve and felt air blowing out of it.  I'm not sure if I had bad batteries (the battery tester showed green) or a bad air compressor, but my daughter and I were a bit crushed.  We hauled everything back inside and I told hubby what happened when he got home.  He agreed that maybe the air compressor was not up to par, stuff does happen with mass production after all.

A few days later Sunday rolls around and I hear hubby outside blowing something up with an air compressor that hooks onto a car battery.  We use it to inflate air mattresses and water toys when we go camping.  A light bulb went off in my head, I could use the portable air compressor to inflate the Wubble Bubble Ball!  I yelled at my daughter to wake up and get outside for round two.  I had to do a bit of MacgGyvering to make my air pump work with the nozzle, but in the end, SUCCESS!  Wubble Bubble Ball fun time activate!  I did not fully inflate the ball, but it was a lot bigger than any ball I had ever bought.  For size reference, my daughter is 5'8.  We are in CA and with the drought, it has been months since we watered our lawns, so my daughter and I played with the Wubble Bubble Ball on the driveway.  We threw, punched, bounced, and tossed it back and forth to each other.  It has a strange gummy, squishy feel to it, but was very light and so easy to toss high up in the air. We did not have a lot of room, so we did not really kick test it much, but it bounced off an old wooden fence, uneven pavement, some dried up grass areas, and random parts of my car just fine.

Given the more bubble like nature of the Wubble Bubble Ball, I fully expect that at some point it will pop.  Thankfully there is a lifetime guarantee.  Just cut out the entire valve area, mail it in, and for a processing fee of $6.99 you can get a replacement Wubble.

Deflating the Wubble is pretty easy.  Just insert the adapter, then the nozzle and then let all the air out.  Our Wubble did not get all that dirty, but it's good to know that it is washable.

The Wubble Wubble Ball has won many awards, here are just a few:

Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Best Toy Award
National Parenting Center Seal of Approval
Mr. Dad Approved Award
Parent's Choice Award
Dr. Toy Best 100 Picks Award
