I think the SiliGuy is just crazy cute, and my hubby and youngest daughter agree. My oldest daughter thinks he looks weird because it looks like he is hugging the phone, and half his head is tucked up in the dash vent. I slyly looked at her and asked if we were calling him Olaf because he likes warm hugs. Her response was an eye roll and a loud sigh, typical of most teenagers. I looked over and her again and came up with the brilliant idea to call him Falo. After a bit of a giggle snort and another eye roll, the name Falo stuck.
The SiliGuy is pretty straight forward and easy to use. Take your phone and place it a little higher than where the feet stick out, bend the legs up and wrap the arms around for a customized, yet secure fit, and hang it where you need it. I have an iPhone 4, and this works perfectly for me. I first folded up the legs, then wrapped the arms around my phone so that it was hugged securely. I then loosened the up the arms just a bit so I could slip my phone out, then hooked the empty SiliGuy into my car dash. It took a few days of minor tweaking, but I can now quickly and easily pop my phone in and out of Falo without having to make any adjustments. My phone charging port is on the bottom, and have no problems charging my phone.
While the SiliGuy does cover up some of my dash, it's buttons that I don't typically use. If for some reason I NEED to hit those buttons, SiliGuy easily swings out of the way. Overall it stays in place when I'm driving, other than when I hit the corner turns a little too fast. It just takes a quick tap to straighten it back out. I love that I can now follow my navigation app without having to hold the phone in my hand, and I can make snap decisions if I need to answer my phone with my earpiece while I am driving.
The SiliGuy is not restricted to just the car! The back of the package shows other ways to use this neat little gizmo. I did take it inside and used near my desktop where I have a couple of long charging cords hanging off a desk door. The SiliGuy did great just hanging around and out of the way, but easily accessible if I needed to grab it. I have since moved it back to it's permanent home in my car.
