Worms in dirt is a kid hood favorite memory of mine. Every year at Halloween my mom who normally never let us in the kitchen let us put together this super easy and fun treat. This year I wanted to start the tradition with the youngest of boys. They all had a blast layering up the dirt and adding their worms. This recipe takes hardly no time at all, and always brings a smile on the kid's faces.

1 box of instant chocolate pudding (or homemade)
1 package of Oreo's
1 package of gummy worms

Mix your instant pudding per the instructions on box, mine was 3 cups milk and powder; mix and refrigerate to set for 5 minutes. I always leave mine for 15. Take one roll of Oreo's and crush them into fine pieces.  Having a little one stomp on some Oreo's in a Ziploc bag with all the air pushed out makes for big smiles.  You can either start with the crushed cookies or pudding, and then layer from there. I let the kids do theirs so it was done both ways. I just make sure the top layer is the crushed cookies. Then add your worms. I normally do 1-2 per dessert dish. I like to push mine in to make it look like it's either crawling out of dirt or into it. Serve and enjoy.
