Ever since the movie Frozen came out, my girls have bombarded me with Let it Go, and have asked me non-stop, "Hey Mom!  Do You Want to Build a Snowman?"  Just as my sanity was reaching it's critical point, they started to do it a little less and BOOM!  A chance to review a CD of  Frozen: The Songs in exchange for our honest opinions.

The songs on the CD are:

1. Frozen Heart
2. Do You Want to Build a Snowman?
3. For the First Time in Forever
4. Love Is an Open Door
5. Let It Go
6. Reindeer(s) Are Better Than People
7. In Summer
8. For the First Time in Forever (Reprise)
9. Fixer Upper
10. Let It Go (Demi Lovato Version)

A set of four stickers and a nice looking poster are also included.  The back of the poster has all the lyrics to the songs as well.  Not that you are going to need to read the lyrics to sing along if your kids are anything like my girls.

Poor hubby was off work when the CD came in, and he had just offered to take my older daughter and myself out to breakfast (younger one was in school).  We piled in the car and I put the CD in while my daughter badgered hubby with, "Mom said it's a FAMILY review".  Hubby does not like musicals, so we only tortured him with three songs, but for all three, every time I looked to the back seat, my older daughter was happily singing along.

It takes about 30 minutes to listen through the entire CD.  I popped the disc in my laptop and had it playing low while hubby was outside doing man stuff, and the oldest one was in her room doing an on-line quiz, yet she still managed to yell at me to turn it up.  The songs are in order of how they appear in the movie, and even include all the sound effects.  In Do You Want to Build a Snowman? you hear Anna knocking on Elsa's bedroom door, and in Frozen Heart, you heat all the workers and ice picks in the background.    I dragged my oldest daughter with me to go pick up the younger one from school, not that I had to drag much since she once again grabbed the CD from the house and busily loading it up as soon as I started the car.  Yep, windows down and music blasting the entire ride to the school and back.  Overwhelming favorite for the three of us is the Let it Go version sung by Idina Menzel, but the girls sang along to all the songs.
