Shiloh loves dog treats, but it is a search to find something that he likes that will last longer than 30 seconds.  Most treats are too small, or too soft that he can just gobble them up right away.  I had a friend mention sweet potato dog treats and figured I would give the a try.  Shiloh was not too impressed at first, but after leaving the treats out for a few days to harden up, he was sold!

Sweet Potato

Preheat oven to 250.  Line baking sheet with parchment paper. Wash sweet potato before cutting.  Cut in half length wise.  Lay flat side of each half on cutting board and then cut into to strips roughly 1/2 inch thick.  Place strips on cookie sheet and bake for 3 hours, turning after 1.5 hours.  For a harder chew, bake longer or let air out for a few days.
