My oldest wanted to help with chocolate month.  She wanted to do some sort of Muddy Buddies, and I threw the idea at her to use a box of Cinnamon Chex and the Dark Chocolate Dreams that Peanut Butter & Co. sent to me (CLICK HERE to check out the review).  She was all for it, and it turned out fantastic!

9 cups Cinnamon Chex  (we just used the whole box)
1 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup Dark Chocolate Dreams by Peanut Butter & Co.
1/4 cup butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups powdered sugar
2 gallon ziploc storage bags

Place cereal in a very large bowl and set aside, you may want to use a microwavable bowl.  In a medium sized microwaveable bowl, combine chocolate chips, Dark Chocolate Dreams, and butter.  Microwave on high for 30 seconds and then stir.  Repeat process until everything is melted and has a smooth texture.  It took a total of four rounds for us before it was smooth and melted.  Stir in vanilla.  Pour chocolate mixture over cereal and mix to coat cereal.  I found this is easier accomplished with two large spatulas or serving spoons.  This needs to be done rather quickly before the chocolate cools.  I had to throw the entire bowl into the microwave for 30 seconds to heat up the chocolate mixture again so it would coat the cereal.

Place 1 cup of powdered sugar into each one of the gallon storage bags.  Place about half of the chocolate coated cereal into each bag, seal, and gently shake to cover cereal with powdered sugar.  Spread Cinnamon Chocolate Muddy Buddies on parchment lined cookie sheet to cool.  To store, place back into ziploc storage bags, or other airtight container.
