We have a family tradition of pancake Sunday.  My oldest as become a pancake flipping  master because of this.  She has not taken the step to make pancake batter from scratch, but has no problems tweaking the boxed batter that I buy.  Add some cocoa powder and a few chocolate chips and boom, Chocolaty Chocolate Chip Pancakes.




Ingredients:

Favorite pancake batter
2-3 teaspoons cocoa powder
chocolate chips





Directions:

Whip up your favorite pancake batter, we are partial to Bisquick.  Add 2 - 3 teaspoons cocoa powder and mix well into batter.  Pour about 1/4 cup batter onto greased, pre-heated skillet (medium heat) and add however many chocolate chips you want, my daughter does anywhere from 5-15, depending on just how chocolaty she wants to make the pancake.  Cook until edges are dry and flip with spatula.  Continue cooking until golden brown 3-5 minutes.  Slather with favorite pancake toppings such as butter, whipped cream, strawberry jam, or syrup.
