Fruit Recipe ~ Easy Almond Trail Mix

When summer hits, my family is on the run a lot.  I love taking day trips, and every year we take a family vacation.  A lot of my day trips are spur of the moment, and to help cut down the cost of food, I tend to travel with my own.  One of my favorite snacks is trail mix.  Easy to make, no utensils required, and it travels well.  Making your own trail mix is a lot cheaper than buying it, and can be easily made in just a few moments.  I threw this mix together with stuff I had laying around in my fridge.


Ingredients:

1 cup whole almonds
1/4 cup raisins
1/4 cup dried cranberries
1/4 cup M&M's



Directions:

Combine ingredients.  That was hard huh?  I will fill up little plastic snack bags and pack them into my kids little travel backpacks along with some juice pouches and other goodies.  They can eat whatever they want out of their own snack packs when we are on the go, and I'm not stopping at fast food joints to feed them.
