Farmer's Market Recipe ~ Broiled Apricot Halves

My back yard neighbor has an apricot tree, and I am lucky enough that ONE lonely branch hangs way over my back yard, so I am able to snag a few apricots every year.  While I love the taste of apricots, I hate the fuzzy on them.  I decided to try broiling them this year with some butter and brown sugar.  It turned out amazingly good, and I did not even notice the fuzzy skin.  Can;t wait till next year so I can do this again.

Set oven broiler to HI.

Wash apricots and cut in half along the 'seam' removing pits.  place apricots on cookie sheet, flesh side up and place a small about of butter and brown sugar in the center of each apricot half.  Sprinkle with cinnamon and broil for 10 minutes.  Let cool slightly before eating.
