Do you have a super secret recipe that everyone raves about, but you don't want to give it to any one?  A neat little work around is to place all the dry ingredients in a jar, and attach the cooking (or baking) directions with the wet ingredients.  Here is how I've done it with a Spiced Corn Bread mix.  This is a very light and fluffy mix, so don't plan on cutting out squares and then slathering the butter on before you take a bite.  You are going to need a plate and a fork for this one.

2 cups Bisquick baking mix
1/2 cup cornmeal
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
2 eggs
1 cup milk
1/2 cup butter, melted
1 Quart Jar with lid and ring
5x5 decorative paper (optional)

Gift Giving Directions:

Pour your dry ingredients into the jar one at a time.  I prefer doing layers of ingredients, but if it ends up getting jostled around, you can always just shake  the ingredients up together before you give it as a gift.  Place the lid on top of the jar, then place decorative paper over lid, then tighten the ring on.  If you are using a thicker paper, it will be difficult, but it can be done.  Another way to decorate the jar up a bit would be to attach a pretty ribbon along the side edge of the ring using a hot glue gun.

Attach the directions to jar if giving as a gift.  This can be done as a tag, or in my case, print them out on a piece of paper and glue it directly to the jar.
