My oldest daughter is graduating high school this year.  Way back in early October (keep in mind school started in September) a flood of paperwork came in about caps, gown, and of course, the class ring.  Now I will be honest, I do not have one.  Never had one, though it was crazy expensive, and honestly though about not getting EJ one.  She is hyper-allergic to metal and in all honesty, would not be able to wear it for more than a few hours at a time, so in my head I'm thinking, "What's the point?".  About two months ago we started hunting around for a ring.  The prices in the brochures made me choke, but I was sucking it up for my daughter as this is something that was is important to her.  Thankfully I was venting about the crazy prices to my friend late one night and she told me to start checking out all sorts of sites that I never would have though of.  I fully admit it, even though I'm a bargain hunter, I need help sometimes!

So finally....the decision has been made!  We found this cute ring over at Walmart.com.  It's a stock photo, so no, she is not graduating in 2015, but the style of the ring and the stone are correct.  We picked Valadium for the metal, and she has a blue zirconia stone, put 2013 on the left with her HS name on the right.  She is thrilled with it.  I think she even likes it more than the ones we saw in the flyer that was sent home from school.  I am thrilled with the price at only $103.00+ tax.  This is a HUGE savings for me, as the cheapest ring we were originally looking at was over $250.00!

Now I just have to remember this in 2016 when I get to go through this all over again with my younger daughter!
