Cupcake Challenge ~ Cupcake in a Jar

This is just a cute way to present a cupcake!

Grab a box of your favorite cake mix (or one you hate and want to get rid of) and follow instructions for preheating and mixing the batter.  Quickly spray insides of small glass canning jars with cooking spray.  Spoon batter into jars till roughly 1/3 full.  Place jars on cookie sheets at least 1 inch apart from each other and back according to directions on box.  When done carefully remove cookie sheet from oven and place jars on cooling rack.  When cool, frost as usual and serve with spoon!  I use this method a lot when I've suddenly run out of cupcake liners (it happens more often than I care to admit), and it makes them very easy to transport.  Instead of frosting you can also just plop a spoonful of ice cream on top and have some cake and ice cream.

Crazy cute and very easy!  Gives me something new to go into  my canning jars  :)

Please note that this is NOT a means of presetting a cupcake, this is just a way of presenting it.

My bloggy gal pals Becky over at Week99er and Amy over at Savvy Saving Couple and I have teamed up for this challenge.  Be sure to check back often for more of our recipes!  Please let us know if you tried one and liked it!
